how did Ri3d clamp down their truck strap?

Here's a video of their winch and roller: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWO9OE8JZZk

I'm wondering what material/clamp they used to be able to hold down their orange truck strap that's attaching to their shooter platform. Thanks.

Re: how did Ri3d clamp down their truck strap?

From what I can see in the video they are using a common worm clamp, most commonly found being used as a hose clamp in older cars. I'm not sure if they are using that in addition to something else though.

Other ways to do it is to melt a hole in the strap and bolt it to the drum of the winch with a large washer. Make sure that you have at least 1 or even 2 wraps on the drum before it starts pulling any serious load.

Re: how did Ri3d clamp down their truck strap?

We used a hose clamp on each end.

We covered the cut ends with black vynil tape.

Seemed to hold up well.
