In that case, this strategy would be even better, because any contact with the ball before it was entirely through the goal would invalidate the score. I think you're looking at the wrong rule.

Re: Drivers Stopping Scoring

I'm pretty sure you're just lawyering the rule.
And that penalty would be interfering with another Alliance's ball.

Appears legal until Q&A or update states otherwise.

Re: Drivers Stopping Scoring

Even if it is legal, I'm not sure I'd want any of my students trying it. The ball has some mass to it, and some of the bots fire with quite a bit of velocity. Getting your arm in between an incoming ball and the pipe above the drivers sounds like a recipe for a broken finger/wrist/arm.

Re: Drivers Stopping Scoring

I was meaning standing back and hitting it, not sticking your hand in the roof, because that would really hurt.

Might not be the exact wording you want. Maybe "Can drivers interact with opponent's balls during a match?" would answer more questions. "Unscoring" might infer more than you intended (ie. throwing the ball back out).

Ok, I see what you mean, how could I change the question or do I have to make a new one?

The Q&A has been answered;

Unsurprisingly, it's a 'No'.
