Gentleman, start your robots...

Well with the construction period almost finished, I was wondering how ready your drivers are. Your drive team is probably the most important part of your team (after the robot itself). So now that it is crunch time do you think your drivers are up to the challenge.

Oh your implying that a team should have a specified team that only practices driving. I see. Maybe we should do that in the near future. Of course, we need to get our robot fully functional before we start driving. Our driver from last year still on the team, yet only one of our members fully understands our drive train system so we are not sure yet who is going to drive. No matter what, however, our driver will be very good.

team #957 situation

we have not been able to drive much because everytime we have gone to the shop to drive it... the robot likes to burn motors so driving in limited. I forgot my safety glasses at the schrimage the other day so i didn't get to drive it.. and before that i was on crutches and i was not allowed in the shop, so i hope that we can build a 2nd robot to get more experience... *crosses Fingers

I'd say something witty and/or funny...but I fear for my life. weedie (our operator) would probably hurt me

I _guess_ they'll do okay. Just as long as they do better than they did last year (Actually _WIN_ a competition...*runs away*)

(G!!!!! nobody signs out! auhg! it's evulish. *sigh* this is the sixth time i've done this!)

Our driver drove for the first time ever at the scrimmage. His first words: "That was harder tahn it looked."

Didn't help that the bar wasn't the right height either. Hehe. We still made it

Umm.. I am hoping for the best... about 1 AM this morning I was able to see my arm move at 3 different pivot points..... it was better than seeing the xmas tree with presents on xmas morning! We have a really nice field this year in an abandoned Ames builiding, however we have only been able to use our 2001 and 2002 robot due to the lack of a completed robot. Hopefully by Thursday, we will take the new one and drive a bit.

Our floor team has a strong history together, and have accomplished great tings in the past (see sig. file!).... hopefully with that background, we will become successful again this year!
