Here is Q15 from the Inland Empire Regional with high goal goalie action. This video focuses on our alliance, but the goalie bot is visible when we are scoring in the low goal.

Re: Goalies in Action

Yeah, that's what I thought would happen.

I think some of those 70 penalty points must have come from the "goalie" tipping over.

Re: Goalies in Action

That is a good example of how not to use the goalie. Blue never tried to score the high goal & goalie robot was stuck in the goalie zone. Its only contribution was foul points when it left the goalie zone?

Blue showed an excellent example of racking up assists points though.

Re: Goalies in Action

It's pretty evident that you should stick to playing heavy defense instead of being a goalie during teleop. If you have the time and capability to switch roles very quick then I could see it being advantageous. However, I do believe that heavy defense will be a much better strategy then just sitting in front of the goal.

Here is a match of our goalie bot doing well, one of our one point blockers window moters was stripped that match but we still accomplised our main goal.

Here's a video of our alliance getting shut down by team 973's epic goalie pole in Galileo Q58. There's a reason they were a first round pick by 67.

Thanks for the shout out! We were super worried for that match, you guys were potent.

Note, after this match we started blocking w/ the shooter unloaded so we can't catch a ball!

Yeah, this match alone was reason enough to explain why we were so thrilled to be playing with you guys in elims as opposed to against you. That was dominant D from auton to buzzer. Great working with you guys, and we loved doing our part to help lockdown the opposition!

Here is the video of 469 blocking 2 shots in autonomous. I believe this was the first time they used the blocker all season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuZL0SvPGpo

Great double block by 4048 at New England Championship. I think this was the first time it worked based on the drive team's reaction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUDUTQLZ5QE
