Thank you Oregon City

Wow.

That’s about all I can say right now. Winning the first district for our team is such an amazing feeling, and seeing the looks on the student’s faces reminds me why I love this program so much. Add to that winning Chairman’s in our second year, and this weekend has been unbelievable. I am so proud of all of our students, mentors, sponsors and coaches, and seeing the smiles that everyone has after winning 2 blue banners in 1 event is unforgettable.

I want to say thank you to Team 2471 and Team 3674. You guys made great alliance partners, and we could not have pulled this off without you guys. You both always played strong and had great strategy, and we cannot wait to see both of you at Wilsonville.

Teams 955, 1425 and 2733 were an absolutely amazing alliance to play against in the Finals. You guys were some really tough completion, and put up an amazing fight. We hope to see you guys at Wilsonville and Portland, and maybe have a chance to compete together.

To all the volunteers and event managers, we thank you for putting on a great inaugural Oregon City District event. It was very well run, and after actually seeing a district event for myself, I think this is going to greatly help the Pacific Northwest. I’m ready for Wilsonville and Portland.

Re: Thank you Oregon City

Huge Congratulations! You guys really are the complete package, strong on and off the field.

Boy is that robot dominant. It may only be week 2, but I think we've just seen one of the best bots in the PNW this year. Can't wait to see you guys at District Champs!

Re: Thank you Oregon City

What a great way to start the competition season. I can't believe we get to go do it all again in 11 days! Definitely going to need lots of coffee. So happy for all my robotics kids(students). So proud of all their hard work and time paying off.

See you soon Wilsonville.
P.S. Come find me in the machine shop...

Thad, Navid and I called it. I kid you not, I texted him after seeing you guys play and said you were going to win it all. It was good to see you this weekend!

Re: Thank you Oregon City

Congrats guys,

Shockwave,

Y'all are an incredible team, it was great fun to compete against you guys this weekend. It was amazing to see two functionally identical robots pitted against each other. You guys have a bright future in FRC

Mean Machine,

What can I say, 2471 is an incredible team year after year, all of us at CV Robotics are looking forward to seeing you at PNW Champs (If we get there).

To our Alliance partners,

Error Code Xero, Thanks for picking us despite our early troubles and tough losses (@Mean Machine ). You guys were great alliance partners and we hope to see you do well at OSU

Pigmice,
Thanks for playing such good defense, that third match wouldn't have been so close if you hadn't been there.

To the volunteers,
Oregon City was sweet, and without all of you, none of it would have happened. Thanks for working so hard to make sure that all 35 of the teams got all 12 matches and creating a great atmosphere for the fans.

We can't wait to play again at OSU in April

Re: Thank you Oregon City

I too was impressed with the venue and organization. It really didn't feel much different than a regional other than a few less robots in the pits, and a bit faster match turnover.

I also want to congratulate the entire Shockwave team on an incredible tournament. Your robot is so powerful, reliable, and highly practiced that you hit the ground running extremely hard. Everyone else looked like rookies, even though you are the novice second year team. Your 83 points for the district event is crazy! 80 points is considered district perfection-nirvana! And your 16th place world ranking for a net OPR 78.6987 is also through the roof. Mean Machine was honored to be picked by you. Thanks also to the Clover Bots 3674 for doing a great job! Go Clark County!

I ditto Thad House's comment on 955, 1425 and 2733. I under-estimated just how much of a battle we would engage in, and I look forward to playing with you all again in future PNW tournaments. All three of our matches could have been flipped by a single play or event by either alliance.
