Intro and credits

Hey, everone, the time for completing animations is very quickly drawing to a close. Considering the time we have left, I would have to say that my team is just a little bit behind schedule. After completing the actual animation, we will still need to create the introduction screen and the credits. We understand the rules concerning these parts of the animation, but none of us on the team really know how these scenes should be done. What program should be used? How are you guys doing yours? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Im going to do the graphics for the title screen in Photoshop, and import it into premiere (I dunno if I'll just import the PSD or maybe i'll use a ..muahhaha...TARGA! lol..sorry, its more so become a running joke with me now..).

...and as far as credits go, I'll just use premiere and use the scrolling title tool. Maybe I'll throw some robot pics in behind the text, maybe flying around or somin... ::Shrugs:: Either that, or (If I have time...yeah right..) Ill do a nice lil "Per person that helped" with a pic of something they really did to help. That'd be nice, kinda like this (Again, here comes the bad ASCII art!)

Soukup is on a distinguished road
if you are really unable to do anything cause you don't have photoshop or premiere (ouch!) Use paint. The credits aren't judged so they aren't as important...and nobody sees the credits..not even autodesk...except if you win.

But just make a black screen and put the correct information on it (team #, Team name, sponsor, school, animation name, there's a couple other ones that I forgot) Put that in in front of your animation (again if you don't have premiere, use video post) there's a thread posted about how to do that.

hope that helps.

The title page and the credits are really nothing but an afterthought. J
ust make sure to do everyhting Autodesk requires so they don't penalize you but they don't judge you on them so go to town if you like and do just about anything (clean) that you wish as long as you wish (if you want to make a five hour long credit sequence, knock yourself out! ).
Just make sure that everything from paperwork to disks to the animation itself is taken care of first.

Title Page is required.

I will look for some free download for you guys, but I do know that Vegas Video which is a much cheaper programs works great too (we used it last year).

I would suggest keeping the Title page very clean with no backround image. Have something like white text on a black backround and maybe a small team graphic. Make the title page easy on the eyes and straight to the point. Finally, don't forget to include a statement describing the aspect of first that your animation is about!

For the credits, they are not very important at all but if you have Adobe After Effects, they have some good text scrolling capabilities. There's even a tutorial on Adobe.com explaining how to do the text scroll!
