We WON NC Using SECRET SAUCE!

I am glad to share that we won the NC regional using the strategy dubbed "Secret Sauce." Being the 2nd ranked team, we shocked the crowd by picking the 44th and then the 38th ranked team. Aluminum assault (1287) played the hardest defense we had ever seen, and Worcester Beachbotics (4288) ran our shot to the human player right in to the low goal.

Re: We WON NC Using SECRET SAUCE!

You guys were amazing!

We were really scared at first for your strategical decisions by picking 1287 first thinking that it would have been better to pick a really good finishing robot. It was clear that 4288 was having a tough time scoring the low goals, but they ended up fitting perfectly in your plan.

1287 really played some amazing defense and your unorthodox strategy really played off.

Congrats and I can't wait to see more of you in St. Louis!

Re: We WON NC Using SECRET SAUCE!

I had frcmega.com configured to give me updates about your matches this weekend while we were at the Tech Valley Regional.
I wasn't surprised at all when I heard about your picks, your strategy, and your victory, and I can't wait to see you guys in St. Louis!

Thanks! We wound up going with 1287 first because it was clear after 1111 and 836 teamed up we would need someone who could disrupt them. 1287 was really the only robot who we felt could do that, and they definitely would've been taken by the time we got to our second pick. We're just so happy 4288 pulled through for our final match!
