High Stackers?

Hey, just wondering how we match up to all the othet stackers... We can stack 8, although we stacked 9 today. Also, at 8 high our stack is very sturdy and hard to tip over...

We can get 12 sturdily (that's our cieling), but stacking is probably impossible in the time given because you have to flip the boxes, and then stack them, while your partner is cooperating fully. Espect pushing to be the main component.

We have a mechanism that orients a box as we drive, so basically we drive up to a box, get over it and stack it, and then move on... Very quick procedure, takes only 4 seconds to stack.

I guess there's no harm in admitting our design now, eh? We lift from the bottom of a box.

yeah right.,

sure our team can stack 10 or so...(thats all the bins we had)

i know you guys arent stupid, but you are being unrealistic.

stacking is not the real problem

if we had time and space some teams could stack 50 or so...

but if you use your brain and think about it, no stacks more than 5 or 6 will survive the match, why does it matter if you can stack more?

the real concern is protecting your stack once you have built it.

I agree. Protecting the stack once you have made it is very important, we've got that covered, too.

We can stack 6, kinda. We can lift up boxes upside down or right side up and stack them quite quickly, so we won't have some of the problems other stackers have. (now if only our robot was done... )

You have to realize that most bins will not be right side up. They'll be upside down, on it's side, or vertical. 1:45 is not a long time to right as much as possible and stack them. It'll be a mess in the field so I expect robots to get no more than stacks of 6 or so in the human control period... of course, we'll just steal that stack
