2014 Los Angeles Regional

First, thanks to the planning committee and volunteers for an amazing event. Los Angeles is a massive regional and it was very well run and organized, making for a great experience!

Team 294 would like to thank our alliance partners 1717 and 5124. We had a great time playing with you! We always enjoy teaming with 1717, and our neighbour rookie team 5124 was a great partner as well. (Neighbour = less than a mile away!)

Thanks also to 330, 973, and 980 for making the finals so exciting.. it was a scrum out there! Amazing driving by all.

Congrats to 2576, Chilean Heart, on their Chairman's Award, and 3309 for receiving the Engineering Inspiration Award!

If anyone's curious about why we stopped moving in F2--it was due to a bad 120A breaker (tripped completely off without significant current flow). The same thing happened in Q109, we thought due to a hard hit causing an unintended manual breaker shutoff, but after it happened again in F2 we replaced the breaker (thank you FIRST spare parts desk!). We plan to do some testing of the old breaker back in our lab to confirm it was indeed the root cause.
