Hawaii Regional

1: 368, 359, 2444 (W)
2: 3721, 11, 4158 (QF)
3: 2443, 2348, 2090 (F)
4: 3132, 3800, 4253 (QF)
5: 2439, 2445, 2504 (SF)
6: 2441, 3008, 3882 (QF)
7: 3881, 3880, 2853 (SF)
8: 2437, 1378, 2438 (QF)

MAN that was an intense eliminations. The 3rd and 7th seeds had to replay their second match. Red won by 1 point in the end with a last-second shot, but at one point blue tipped a ball into a red bot. It never settled into it fully, but the refs took at LEAST 5 minutes going over the footage, trying to make their decision, since it would either go to a rubber match or the 3rd seed would move on. Due to how big a decision this could be, they decided to replay the match, with the 3rd seed getting a resounding victory over the 7th.

These are out of order. Anyone have the correct draft order?

I am quite sure you could hear me screaming from the pits on that buzzer beater shot. Was an epic match!

Sadly there were more issues than that. The first semi final match several assists and one truss was not counted on our side. The scoreboard showed 3 assists when we did a low goal score and was only awarded one point. Then during the second semi match our pickup arm was broken at both welds! We had to use some bailing wire and cable ties to make a hasty repair since our alliance captain used their timeout in the quarter finals to repair themselves and we had to rush to make it to the replay.

With our arm mostly out of commission it affected pretty much everything since the arm helps seat the ball. So the replay was really tough with no time to switch our spare arm in.

I am really proud of my team. We sat still for 4 of our qualifiers on Friday due to code issues in the teleop portion.. Was so hard to watch our robot do its auto correctly then to sit and absolutely nothing for teleop. One of our "sitting" matches our auto shot hit a little to high and bounce back into our robot. We had to start the teleop with a dead auto ball.. I am sure our alliance partners were thrilled..

Sorry to everyone during our last 4 qualifiers on Friday. We stayed up all night on Friday to rewrite all the code from scratch. It obviously worked since we never had another issue all day on Saturday..

Thanks to team 2853 for picking us and 3881 for a great set of matches.
We almost had that, and we sure left it all on the field.. as well as some of our arm

Thanks again to all the teams at the HI regional, many came to our pits to try and help find our code issues on Friday. Even with all the issues we had a great time.

Aloha

Re: 2014 Alliance Selection Results

The odds were definitely not that great during the replay, but the games were super exciting nonetheless! Our catapult started to act up after the second semi match, so we ran full D and low goal during the replay.

Once again, thanks to teams 3881 and 3880 for being great alliance partners . Those quarters rocked!
