lol actually to whether our robot cart will have the pneumatics we aren't sure yet, but what will is our " advertisment cart " which connects to the robot and pulls it on a hitch, thats the one that will prob. bounce and stuff, we may make our robot cart bounce also tho.. lol well we've always had like a boombox under the cart, but to put like 8's in it ( small enough so the battery will last like 2 minutes ) that would own if we have the money :-)

Just a word of caution. If your using pneumatics make sure you have enough air storage so the cart does not run out to quickly and that everything on the cart including the robot is securely fastened . Found that out the hard way :-(

Our top half would be removed, and that is how we work on our robot. It holds all our tools/parts/coats/anything we want it to! We just take the top half off, and poof, it is ready as a "bay" for our robot!! |

In the past, our team has used a simple cart, 2x4's mounted in a square with really cheap casters that squeaked.
This year, since one of our sponsors is an extruded aluminum company, we are planning on making our cart from extrusion. |

We have a pretty functional, if not cool cart. A guy in a nearby city gave us a whole bunch of 80/20 for free, so we made a cart outta 15/15. Ill see if I can scrounge up some pics of it. It has an onboard battery charging station, onboard power supply, so we can just run a extension cord to the side of it, plug it in, and weve got 4 outlets ready for powerstrips. No more messes of cords in the pits! We are going to add a sound system, very small mind you, so we can have some quiet music in the pits. We will also be adding some tool storage.

118's Cart
Here is our cart, On the 2001 Team I was one of the people who helped Norman Frede Chevrolet build it for us. The support structures on the bottom are 2 front end frames of Chevy Malibus. On top of it is a large sheet of diamond plate with a diamond plated tool box riveted on top of it. There is a bumper which supports the handle which is some scrap bumper we found in Noman Frede's junk yard. Since 2001 it was modified sevral times. During 2001 Nationals we put a full sized police lightbar through the structure frame. Before 2002 LSR I believe that strobe lights and a cdplayer and speakers was put on. Finally for 2002 Nationals it was powered using the unused chipua moters and an old control system.

We use an old cart that we made in 2000. It's just welded aluminum angle, and it doesn't really fit our robot. We had grandiose plans to build a new cart, but right now, we're just going to modify our old cart to fit the new robot.

We are using a cart made back in 2001. It has beaten and been battered but it still supports 130lbs + any accessories needed to be toted along and it still rolls. ooohhhhh aawwwww eeeee
BTW heres the pictures of our 2002 bot DOROTHY using the one and only Robot cart we have created since the start of 522 and yes our 2003 bot GLORIA will also be blessing this cart http://robowizards2002.tripod.com/GIFs/ny402.jpg |

The Miracle Workerz (365) Cart
We built one cart back in 2000 and ever since then, we just modified the cart we had to hold the new robot. Our only requirements is that the robot + cart can fit through a standard door and the robot's wheels are suspended for testing purposes. The only picture of our cart I can quickly scrounge up is the one from 2001... and you can only see part of the cart, but here it is (for what its worth):
