RoboProm 2014

Team 399, Eagle Robotics, is pleased to announce the 8th annual RoboProm held at the FIRST Championship in St. Louis Missouri!

The event was started by the students of Team 399 in 2007, who unfortunately had to miss their high school prom to attend the Championship event, but didn’t want to miss out on the experience. We are excited to continue the tradition, and make it better than ever.

Where: Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, RoboProm Grand Ballroom, 315 Chestnut Street, St. Louis, MO
When: Thursday, April 24th, 2014 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Dress Code: Some people go semi-formal, some get fancy, and some like to get into pretty unique costumes. Whatever suits you!
Price: $20 pre-sale via our team website up until 4/19, $25 at the Championship event. Mentors and advisors chaperoning are welcome into the event for free.

We will be releasing one wave of 800 tickets starting today, March 26th. Once those sell out, tickets won’t be available for purchase until the second wave of 800 is released on April 13th, the day after the conclusion of week 7 events.

Link to buy tickets: http://www.team399.org/roboprom-2014/
Email for any questions or comments: roboprom399@gmail.com

This thread will be where all official updates will be announced! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here.

Note: RoboProm is put together by FRC Team 399: Eagle Robotics and is not an official FIRST Championship Event.

Re: RoboProm 2014

Just got my email from Team 399.

Happy to help host the RoboProm again this year! Giving out King and Queen is always a fun part of the evening, and it's awesome to see the FIRST community come together.

I'll be there, and depending on how Week 7 goes, will be crossing my fingers to bring 1923!

Well stay tuned, as we're talking about redefining the process for deciding King & Queen for this year so that it's not as random as it was in the past. There currently isn't a process for 'running' for the title, but we'll update you when we can!

(399 runs a great show, everyone. It's been a blast to work with their team's event manager. )

Re: RoboProm 2014

I hope to make an appearance this year, as I had such a good time last year. I will be sure to purchase tickets early though, I almost missed out last year.

Can't wait!

Of course I must include in my first championship experience the famous RoboProm from 399. Can't wait to see the amazing event Gabriel and the rest of 399 put on this year.

From the title on your picture album, I hope that we are still conducting RoboProm in the year 2103 [Don't go fixing it now..]

Great pictures, I love how the students feel free to dress up, come as they are, or wear a costume. It is part of the great time students have coming to RoboProm. No judgement, no pressures of a high school prom. So looking forward to see what people are wearing this year. Hope to see you there!

Re: RoboProm 2014

Can't wait to check it out. It has been talks in the SPAM Pit about this! I know I would love to chaperone our students and see what this is all about!

P.S. and I can relive my memories of missing Prom in 2002 for World Championship at Disneyworld.

Re: RoboProm 2014

Hey!

My team is considering going to RoboProm this year. What are somethings that we should know?

1. What is considered "normal" to wear
2. What activities are there
