Re: Team 987 2014 Video: Triple Seven

During a match, if you have the ball, do you ever pull back your intake?

That bots got some pretty sweet ball containment, doesn't so much as wiggle when you guys are driving about or being defended against.

We do indeed pull back intake if needed. Top roller finger plus side flaps on arm hold ball snugly even with arm out though.

Re: Team 987 2014 Video: Triple Seven

I was honored to work with this team twice this year. Extremely quick and deadly effective robot this year with Triple 7. Seeing Triple 7 many times I must say watch out for their quick maneuverability, 99% reliable two-ball-hot auto, the fact that they cannot be t-boned , and how they really don't have any weaknesses

As always, another outstanding video and robot! I can't wait to see you all at champs.

Do you guys do an Octobot like 971 and 1678 or do you have some other method of getting out of pins more easily?

Yep, a belt runs from the main pickup to the small wheels on the end of the finger.

Ball caster on short cylinder between center and front wheels we fire to lift those wheels up so we can spin out quickly...we learned the hard way back in 2008 that a t-bone pin can last way too long if you don't have a method to break the hold It cost us another trip to Einstein...

I love the video, and your choice of music! Working with you at Vegas was awesome and a great learning experience for our team. Your robot is rugged and high-quality. We're excited to play more matches with you on Curie!

Just went to link and saw viewer count was 777... What are the odds of me catching this exact count? Rhetorical comment, no need for statistical comment
