CONGRATS - TEAM RUSH - 2014 CHAIRMANS

Driving home from St. Louis this morning, I was listening to public radio. They did a short news piece about the FIRST Championship, including a sound bite from a Team Rush student. The message was about bringing science, technology, engineering, and math opportunities to students everywhere.

In that news piece, Rush was described as "the winning team." My immediate thought was, they got that right.

NPR may not make the message loud, but they do make it clear.

I cant help but re-feel the jitters and joy when our team was announced back in 2011 at the Concert!
Enjoy the moment.....enjoy your year parading the perpetual trophy at all of your events.

With the May 2014 White House Science Fair coming up, I do hope you get the chance that we never got.......visiting the President and showcasing your program!
That Science Fair is definitely taking place as I had the privy to help judge a group of kids who won a national STEM competition recently and will be attending that event.

Huge congrats to RUSH - 2068 (and I) competed with them at Chesapeake in 2012 and I got to hear all about their team organization and business plan, which we used as a reference in developing our own organization. Needless to say, this was well deserved.

We had the opportunity to work with RUSH in DC last Spring. They truly are making FIRST, and STEM in general, a fixture in the nation's capital. We knew they were going to be strong going into this year for Chairman's. The judges defiantly got it right. Congrats!
