First, sorry for my original reply, that was pretty careless of me.

To address the question, 1625 winnovation and 2451 pwnage have a habit of winding up together at Midwest.

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

This year 2485 and 987 paired up at one of the Cali regionals and Vegas if I remember right. Then they won Vegas.

As for Arizona, two of the big powerhouse teams here from year-to-year are 2486 and 842. This year they paired up and kicked butt at Phoenix.

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

20 and 195

Though these two teams are not from the same state, they've had some good luck together in recent years at the CT Regional. They won together in 2012 and 2013. And plus, 20 almost always came to CT, so it's close enough. They also teamed up this year at Champs.

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

Florida off-season would be 233 and 744. If I remember correctly, we've teamed up in '07, '08, '11, '12, '13 and won three of them. Keep in mind that there was (basically) no off-season in Florida in '10 and I believe '09 was wiped from 233's memory

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

I just looked back through 2008 in Oregon. At Oregon events, 1318 and 1983 won together in both 2014 and 2009, and 360 and 3711 won 2011 and 2012 together back to back. But all 4 of those teams are from Washington. I don't think any Oregon teams have paired together more then once, and then won as well.

1986 and 1806 won both Kansas City and Oklahoma together in 2013. They paired up again for the Newton elimination matches in 2014.

I was the one who got to pick 179 on Archimedes in 2007. The devious glee I got when I realized that such an awesome team would be left to us as a 3rd slot will always hold a special place in my heart.

230 and 4055 (both Connecticut teams) were finalists together at two district events and won the NE District Championship together this year.

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

For Connecticut: 177, 230, and 4055 have had some recent history with and against each other.

2014 -
Southington District - 4055 and 230 make it to finals together.
Hartford District - 4055 and 230 make it to finals together, but lose to 177.
NE CMP - 230, 177, and 4055 are on the same alliance and win the event.
Curie Division - 177 and 230 are on the same alliance for eliminations.

2013 -
CT Regional - 177 loses to 230 in the semifinals.
CT Championship (offseason) - 177 beats 230 in the finals.
WIWI (offseason) - 177 beats 230. (There is nothing on TBA, but I think this is right)

2012 - (4055's rookie year)
WPI Regional - 230 beats 177 in quarterfinals.
CT Regional - 177 beats 230 in quarterfinals.

2011 -
CT Regional - 177 beats 230 in semifinals.

Our history goes back to 1999

We actually go way back to SVR.

We paired up in eliminations:
2000 SVR finalist
2001 SVR finalist
2003 SVR finalist
2008 Hawaii finalist
2010 Hawaii winner
2011 Hawaii winner
2014 Hawaii winner

All finalist losses came at the hands of 254.

This is true, but 341's recent winning percentage has led them to have successful alliances with a lot of teams. 341 has won three events with 2590 (2013 Hatboro-Horsham, 2014 Hatboro-Horsham, 2014 MAR Championship), two events with 1218 (2012 Hatboro-Horsham, 2012 Chestnut Hill), two events with 225 (2013 Chestnut Hill, 2013 Ramp Riot), two events with 1640 (2012 Hatboro-Horsham, 2012 MAR Championship), and two events with 365 (2008 and 2010 Philadelphia regionals).

25 and 103 used to be famous for pairing up in the pre-MAR days, as they won the New Jersey regional together in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

On the rivalry side of things, 1712 can't avoid facing 365. MOE and Dawgma have clashed in the 2009 DC regional quarter-finals, the 2010 Philadelphia regional quarter-finals, the 2011 Philadelphia regional quarter-finals, the 2013 Lenape district semi-finals, and the 2014 MAR championship quarter-finals. Maybe one day we'll be on the same alliance as 365.

Related to that, prior to Midwest this year 1625 and 1732 competed at 10 official events (not counting IRI and other off seasons) together but never on the same alliance (qualification or elimination) despite playing against each other 12 times. At Midwest this year we finally had a qualification match together and we made it count, winning 270-42. Come eliminations, we were back to facing each other where 1625 won very easily in the finals.

Re: Successful Team Ups By State

314 Big Mo and 503 won a District this season and were Finalists in another; our teams have a great bond and our drivers are very good friends. We attended all the same District competitions and will likely see each other in the coming years - I quite enjoy the idea of a Mo Frogs partnership Just wait until we're put in the same division together, we'll see you all in Einstein hahaha (all kidding aside this year especially our robots, drivers, and teams were very compatible)

27 (Team RUSH) and 33 (Killer Bees) paired together at MSC (along with 314) to win it all, and 27/33 were paired together in Archimedes Elims and were finalists iirc. Not 100% sure of these two teams' histories together but they are for sure one of the strongest Michigan partners.
