FINE. I'll tell you how to do it. Now, the rules clearly say, 4 sides at 90 degree intervals. Granted that your robot has at least 6 sides and you've got numbers on two sides, then the rules has an easy loophole. Just put one number on the top of your robot and one at the bottom. They are seperated by 90 degrees, are on 4 seperate sides, and your ROBOT is still easily identified by the referee as they should be able to easily see the number on the sides/top. The bottom one just allows you to get around the rules. Or if you have space, put one on the back and use the one on top as the loophole. That's a better method.

M7:
Robots must display their team number, sponsor and school names and/or logos. The judges, referees, and announcers must be able to easily identify robots by Team Number. Teams must display their Team Number in four locations at approximately 90-degree intervals around the side of the robot. The numerals must be at least 4 inches high, at least in ½ inch stroke width and in a contrasting color from its background. Team Numbers must be clearly visible from a distance of not less than 100 feet.
