What temperature ranges would you recommend testing?

Re: New PDB info?

Automotive qualified would be nice but won't happen because of cost.
The talons initially used the on chip clock which varied allot. I believe they went to any off chip oscillator. I've seen many teams not put fans on them and had no problems. Of course they trash talk CRE for making C--P and on and on. Put fans on the talons period. We use 20mm EBM fans. Never killed a talon and our students have tried. No matter how much testing NI and CRE do, we won't know how good a product it is until we put it into the hands of thousands of high school students. Nothing beats real world testing by students.

RS232 on the board, TTL serial on the MXP. 1x I2C and 1xSPI on the board, 1 more of each on the MXP. 2x USB host, potentially 1 taken up by a USB radio (depending on wireless solution).

The alpha libraries look very similar to the existing libraries, so they'll be just as easy to access as they are right now.

Standard Java 8 SE Embedded for ARM

From everything I've heard, I'm not hopeful about software for non-beta teams before kickoff.
I know that the G-Forces are high, but we don't need an almost solid metal controller!

Re: New PDB info?

Isn't automotive grade from -55C to +150C? I'd settle for -20C to 71C and a 20g half sine shock.
