My Team members and I have been speculating for some time now about the 2015 FRC game being water games. This thread is for semi-serious discussion and sharing of pictures and ideas to help this become the 2015 game such as...
Dean Kamen drinking water with Bill Gates (Water Games Confirmed) Dean Kamen on a Segway in front of a big lake (Water Games Confirmed) Dean Kamen invented a water filter (Water Games Confirmed) Dean Kamen owns an island surrounded by water (Water Games Confirmed) If you have any ideas please feel free to post so we can hopefully figure out the 2015 game and pray it is Water Games. -Wiesman Media Member of Team 93 |

Re: Water Games
Water game threads aren't allowed until after November. Didn't you get the memo?

Re: Water Games
Has anyone ever noticed that Dean Kamen is about 3/4 water?

But, more seriously, everybody says a water game is the most sadistic idea GDC could throw at us, but I think that water could be somehow involved in a future game. It couldn't be the field material, and it couldn't be anywhere that would splash a lot, because you would have teams going bankrupt replacing electrical components (yes, talons are "sealed" but that doesn't mean waterproof). However, picking up game pieces from a trough filled with water could have potential. |

Re: Water Games
You also have venue restrictions to think about. One of our regionals in MN is held on a basketball court that could be severely damaged if water leaked and puddled for days. The same is true for many of the district events, from what I understand. From that standpoint alone I don't think we'll have a water game, not until they arrange for water proof venues.

Re: Water Games
Venue shouldn't be a problem, we can host the event at the community center pool or in any high school or college pool. Since most of these pools are in-ground, have video 3D projected on the inflated balloon right above the pool, so no one misses the game. If you have not seen 3D project, visit Niagara falls (Canadian side) and stop by 4D theater, its just awesome.

Re: Water Games
I think it was on "FRC Game Sense" interview the other Frank said the 2015 game would not include water. Of course that could an intentional distraction because the game really includes water.

Re: Water Games
Based on previous posts by a certain Lord Dumpling, we're more likely to have a jello game than a water game.

Re: Water Games
Why 2003? I was thinking more like 2009... Lunacy on ice! At least we get rid of the regolith...
