IRI Talent Show - 2014!

Below is information for the 20014 IRI Talent Show.

The Talent Show is once again a part of the IRI!

Event time: Friday night, 7:30 - 9:00 PM
All acts must audition, be approved and be selected in order to participate. We will be targeting at least 12 but no more than 18 acts.

Auditions
Audition time: Friday, 1 PM - 3 PM, in the Lawrence North HS auditorium (near the cafeteria)

Audition Judges
All acts will be screened in advance and/or at the event. In order to make auditions easy, we would prefer for all acts to send a video link of their performance with their entry email.

Competition Judges
Once again, a fine panel of judges is being assembled to crown the IRI Talent Show Champion. These judges will be commenting on acts, via written posts on an overhead screen, during each act.

Prize
A $100 cash prize will be provided to the judged winner

Basic Guidelines
Acts may be 1 or more people
Acts may be students or mentors from participating teams or event volunteers
Acts must be PG rated
Acts are limited to THREE MINUTES IN LENGTH, unless the Audition Judges determine that a longer time is needed for you to complete the act.
(You will be stopped if you exceed the allowed time, and this can negatively impact the judging panel)

It's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't seen it firsthand just how hilarious the talent show and live commentary is. It's more entertaining than it seems on paper. Heck, I go to IRI for the entertainment as much as the competition. And the corn. So much corn.

We, the AV crew, could easily record and upload the videos. Most copyright problems that we have encountered affect only other countries, namely Germany.
