I predict the game is going to be throwing balls into a top goal for 10 points along with bonus points for your alliance working together. Also I predict the game is going to be called Aerial Assist. I also don't look at the timestamp this was posted on 12/31/13 xD

This hint had two layers. One was assist, and the other was one game piece at a time, an element common to all of these sports. They all also involve getting past defenders to score one piece into a goal as well as some form of inbounding to resume play with the single game piece.
