That's too bad. I know for me, being at an FRC event at a venue with such huge historical sporting significance (site of numerous speed skating world records) was pretty inspiring. Not to mention the venue was extremely spacious and located right on the campus of the University of Calgary. I'm sure the new location will be still be great, but it will be hard to match the standard set at the Oval.
At GLR our team only had to deal with a bunch on kids seeing snow for the first time. With all the ensuing snow fights and vainly trying to run up the giant snowy hill behind the arena. - Kevin Sevcik [more]
