Re: Team 2151 seeking a mentor who knows Java
Why shift to java if no one on your team knows it?

Re: Team 2151 seeking a mentor who knows Java
LabVIEW wasn't treating us nicely, we wanted to move to a text-based language; and since our school teaches Java, we decided to go to that. That and Java runs on everything, so it'd be easier to adapt what we learn to other application development

Given your team name, it'd be better if you switched to python. :-D

Re: Team 2151 seeking a mentor who knows Java
I recently moved to Forest Park, IL and program LabVIEW for a living. I also mentored a team in my previous location. Let me know if you want LabVIEW help.

Former 2151 mentor here. I highly recommend watching the tutorials for the robot builder from wpi. Let me know if you can't find a link. Say hi to the team for me.

Re: Team 2151 seeking a mentor who knows Java
Just a kid who has 3 years java expirience, learn java and object oriented language concepts before using java, robot builder does work but its easier to get the robot working if you have a firm understanding of java, like the exends Command after every class declaration on a command.
