I'm rather partial to the Iszuz Impulse RS myself.
Ok, some specs:
I-4 turbocharged, intercooled DOHC
Horsepower 160 hp @ 6600 rpm
Torque 150 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm
Weight/power ratio ~16.5 lb/hp
0-60 7.0 sec
Skidpad: 0.88 g
Lotus designed suspension
EPA rating, city/highway 29 mpg/42 mpg

Daily driver with performance.

Now if only I can find one near me for sale...only 800 RS were sold in the US. Can pick one up in good condition for ~$1.5k.
Its a pocket rocket, dosn't really look like one.
Impulse in White

After that, the Storm Gsi.

Keep it simple. Expedition, Blazer, Surban, Denali, Excursion. If you want speed go with the Dodge Ram 1500 with the Hemi.

If your main goal is to make sure you get your share of the world's oil before it's all gone, or if you went to help fund Osama, then these trucks are good choices. Otherwise, unless you are towing or driving off-road, cars and minivans make more sense. Also, cars are more fun to drive, unless you are one of the few people whose driving fun consists of going over rocks at 2mph. If that's your bag, a Jeep Wrangler is hard to beat, especially for the price.

I'm quite happy dreaming of that 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible in a turquoise color with white trimming and big white fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror. V6 engine would be fine, but I'd prefer a V8. nice 17" chromes...mmm...what a beauty it would be. oh, not to mention neons lining the bottom of the dashboard...in blue or green.
the rest of the interior would be the original stuff, no need to toy with that.
I'd love enough power under the hood to make that baby roar louder than the rest.

I have little respect for the imports, I'm an american muscle man. Dream= 70' Chevelle SS convertable with deap navy metallic body and an ivory top. Complementing the White leather buckets would be a growling 454 (w/ a pair of flowmasters) and a diehard 4 speed muncie and a gear grabbing hurst shifter sending face distorting tourque to the helpless real wheels via a 4:10 read end.

A few years ago I thought I'd like to have "the car of my dreams," but then I drove one. The car was a '67 Coronet R/T. The one I drove was not a prime specimen, nor was it equipped the way I'd prefer, but the bottom line is that I have become very spoiled by the perfection and refinement of today's cars, import and domestic.

Regarding the "rough" 67 Coronet I drove, it was fast and would "light up" the tires with ease as is to be expected for a 3500 pound car with a 440CID engine. Beyond that, it was not much fun. The clutch was very stiff and the shifter was stiff and had very long throws. Of course, 60's Mopars are much better with an automatic, but that wouldn't fix the poor handling and bad brakes compared to today's cars.

I understand some people's liking the sensory stimulation of 60's and 70's muscle cars, but for people around my age I know who have them, their reason is more a nostalgia thing. They now have the car they fantasized about driving but couldn't afford when they were kids or young adults.

Re: your favoirte car

I'm sad to say this year when I become an adult "35" I will likely be buying a foreign mini van and not "the car of my dreams". I think you should set your age bracket to under 25 or over 55. Because once you start poppin out kids, you can kiss all those cool toys goodbye!
I once had a 69 mustang fastback - that was awesome. I also had a 93 5.0 lx mustang again very cool. But now I have a Saturn l100 and a Chrysler Town and Country Lxi mini van - the biggest piece of junk I ever had the privilege to own. But I do have a Honda Goldwing GL1800 - that's my BABAY!

Nice! Someday when I have the space, and of course the finances, I want to locate and restore a '69 convertible. Basically I want a "project car" but not a "basket case". I want to lightly modify it but nothing permanently irreversible. I also want to paint it green or yellow for the simple fact that almost everyone paints thier cars red or black when they redo them, I want it to stand out and be slightly different.

And Kiwi Queen, this is for you.

Re: your favoirte car

In a car, I care about the following:
*Whether it works or not
*Roboustness
*Interior must be really cool, techy, futuristic in some aspects, and not rich (AKA Bling-Bling etc.)
*Outside color must be either dark dark blue, pure white, or black
*Low noise level

And the biggest priority:

*It cannot look like the average car, truck, SUV, etc.

With that in mind, the PT cruiser is just plain ugly nowadays, and the element looks cool, but not as cool as my choice: an aztec. It's just a gorgeous car.
