Subject: Opportunity to Demonstrate FIRST Robots at WESTEC Student Summit

The 4th Annual WESTEC Student Summit is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2003. As many of you know, schools participating in FIRST Robotics Competitions have been invited to demonstrate their “year-old” robots at this event.

Last year the WESTEC Student Summit was attended by over 1,000 high school students from 43 regional high schools. This event provides a great opportunity for your FIRST team to demonstrate their robot for other students and instructors from these visiting schools, and to motivate other schools and students to become involved in FIRST activities.

A description of the WESTEC Student Summit can be found at the following web site:

http://www.sme.org/cgi-bin/get-evdoc...7&010049&&SME&

If you have a working robot from previous years and you want to participate, complete the information at the bottom of the page and email it back to Wendy Wooten. Because of limitations on space, only a few FIRST teams will be able to participate. Respond at your earliest convenience as teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
