Safety, Safety, Safety
As you prepare for the season, please keep safety in mind. The new safety manual for 2015 has just been posted. You can check it out here. All teams should read and follow this manual. We’ve made a few tweaks from last year, including some changes to footwear requirements at events, specifically for spectators. We’re trying to strike a balance between keeping spectators wanting to visit the pits safe, and making sure they get to see all the great things you guys are doing. See the updated manual for details.
A 10 Foot Tall Guitar and FIRST
What does a 10 foot tall guitar have to do with FIRST? FRC Team 2283, Panteras, from Mexico City, Mexico, programmed a robot to autonomously paint a giant guitar as part of the GuitarTown public arts project. The design incorporated a printed circuit, a gear, and the familiar triangle, circle and square of the FIRST logo. Check out the video here.
Nice work, Panteras!
