Power Distrobution Panel + Jetson TK1

Hey,
My team has acquired a Jetson TK1 for this year. I was wondering if there's any convenient way to power it from the Power Dist. Panel?

Thanks,
Matan

Re: Power Distrobution Panel + Jetson TK1

The TK1 runs on 12 volts (and can work down to 9.6 volts). A straightforward connection from a normal pair of Wago connections on the PDP through an appropriately-sized barrel connector seems to me like it would be fine.

Wouldn't it be a really good idea to add a buck-boost convertor before it? This way, those pesky voltage spikes and drops won't do anything to it. The voltage in batteries can easily dip below 9.6v during competitive maneuvers! It's just about timing when all the motors turn on on the robot at the same time .

If it draws less than 2 amps 1.5 amps, you can run it through the Voltage Regulator Module.

Less than or equal to 1.5a
Let's not destroy any VRM's here.

If you are talking about the convertor used by the bridge, note that it runs at 5v. The voltage required by the Jetson (min) is 9.6v!

There's a 5V rail and a 12V rail.
