We got ours this weekend as well. I, too, was disappointed about not getting the software tools, but we knew when we ordered it we wouldn't get them until kickoff.
This controller is very slick. It will be much easier to work with mechanically than the cRIO. I can't speak to the software yet, though. It will be nice to work with a dedicated control system like the old IFI controller again.
