Exclamation [FTC]: NXT brick failing to updata

When I tried to update my teams NXT Bricks firmware i got an error message saying that that the brick did not enter boot mode and now are brick is beeping dose anyone know how to fix this?

What computer are you using? We have found that it takes a computer with windows 7 to be able to update the firmware

What I mean is I have tried updating the firmware for the nxts using RobotC and labview on a windows 8 computer. All it has done is fail. When we tried to update using a computer with windows 7 installed it worked without any problems.

we have no firmware on the NXT brick do you know how to fix that? and thanks for telling me about the win7 updating!
