Chairman's 2015

I've been searching around trying to find the requirement for the 2015 Chairman's essay. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Chairman's 2015

It would be in the Awards section of the 2015 Administrative Manual. No section of the 2015 Manual has been released yet.

In other words, ask again later.

On a random note, the FRC Manual is now empty. It appears they are preparing to put in information for the 2015 season. I would expect to see the FRC Administrative Manual soon.

Re: Chairman's 2015

STIMS is, however, open if you're an awards submitter. Ask your coach to make you an awards submitter in their STIMS control panel and then you'll be able to see the prompts. I saw it yesterday - nothing has changed in the written section, other than the years (2013/2014 has become 2014/2015). However, they're now requiring that videos be submitted via private YouTube link, rather than the flash drive or DVD that's been the submission method in the past.

This may help. Check the Awards section. 2015 Administrative Manual

Re: Chairman's 2015

So do we need to have the video done before the submission date now? In the past, we had until the competition to get the video done, but now I'm guessing that the video needs to be done by the submission date, if the YouTube link needs to be entered in STIMS.
This is a very significant change for a lot of teams, particularly if they attend later events. This is something that FIRST should clarify.

Not quite. We need to submit the private link, yes, but the manual specifically states that we are also required to bring a physical copy to the event as usual. If there is no physical copy presented, the team will NOT be considered for the award, and will NOT be interviewed.

They want a video of your practice presentation submitted, they are going to post both that video and the written presentation of all chairman's winners this year. Their trying to help the inexperienced teams by showing what goes into a winning presentation.

They only want the practice presentation submitted if you win. The official video has to be submitted in TIMs:

Enter in a link through YouTube for your official Chairman’s Video (you will still be required to bring a copy to each event you are
eligible at)
