Will Control System Components be available?

Any concerns about the CTRE electrical components being available?

I pre-ordered the PDB, PCM, and VRM from AndyMark quite a while ago with the expectation that they would be shipped in early December (per the AndyMark page). Now I see those dates have been revised to late December - Early January.

I also keep checking for the new Talon SRX Speed Controllers from either Vex or AndyMark and they are always out of stock.

A lot of product demand is going to be forced into a very tiny delivery window with kickoff less than 3 weeks away.

I am comparing this rollout back to 2009 rollout of the cRio and the related new components of that control system that were available in early December when people could choose to get their hands on those components early so everything wasn't entirely new Kickoff day.

I share your concern. The nice person at AndyMark who answered my questions on this subject said "some time in January" regarding the motor controllers. It sounds like it may be very important for all of us to hold on to the old victors, jags and talons for this season.

My concern with that "some time in January" idea is for rookie teams who will have kit speed controllers and only kit speed controllers. I sure hope every rookie team thought to order victors or jags through First Choice this year...

The VRM and PCM we're expecting in the middle of December. The PDP will be in near the end of the month.

According to Andymark, the 2015 electronics will be ready to ship late December. We will most likely not get them until early-mid January.

Well, all but the new speed controllers we should all get on the kop's.

Speed controllers in the KOP will be Talon SR's from last years stock.

Hopefully, you’ve heard by now that all registered and paid FRC Teams are receiving new control system devices in their 2015 Kickoff Kits (this will include at least a roboRIO, dual-mode access point/bridge, a Power Distribution Panel, a Voltage Regulator Module, a Pneumatic Control Module, and four Talon SR motor controllers. The contents of the Kickoff Kits are typically confidential until Kickoff, but hopefully I can get away with saying that much!

We will get the KOP in January, any electronics ordered from anymark will most likely ship in late december and we should get them in mid january. ALL of the 2015 electronics are now available for pre order, including the new talon SRX. Hope this helps!
