131 has always delivered quality robots year after year

Those look like this year's kit tires but I can't tell. Did you guys sand them down? Nice looking robot.

Have you driven your robot up the ramp? our team had an issue using a similar drive system of 2 wheel front drive like that - no weight on front wheels=wheelspin on ramp for us.

What about tipping over? it looks as if all your major components are in the back half of the robot.

past those 2 things your robot looks great - i like the arm design - looks real efficient - and im gonna guess that the black things are some sort of box orienting device (we were considering it but decided against it)

good work 131

some answers

up the ramp......not a problem very good grip. Who said it was only two wheel drive? and actually most of the weight is very low on the bot, and towards the back. gotta compensate for those boxes some how. The wheels I LOVE! and yeah they are kit wheels.

Looks like a pretty good bot. The back wheels should have a lot of traction w/ all the weight over them. (probably at least 40 lbs w/ 12 pound battery and 12 pound compresser + everything else)

w/ only boxes only weighing 5 lbs each though, seems like it would be back heavy and top heavy.

Too bad your sign blocks view of the inside of the robot.

Btw, i like the hinged doors on your crate in the background, wish our team had thought of something cool like that for our crate, or at least made our crate something other than just boxed up crate.

Hopefully your bot can do fine small turning.
It seems that this year to stack, bots must be able to turn precisely, to orient stacker mechanism in front of boxes.

Kyle, looks like black stuff on arms is for grip on boxes, and almost looks like it may be able to squeeze.

The little white discs on the corners of your bot look cool too. Are they just for deflecting bots from pushing on you?

131 always has a nice bot. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one in action. What kind of bushing did you used to slide your grabber up and down?

Look a little closer; there's chain running to the back wheels, too. It's a four-wheel drive 'bot. Looks good, I think. Hope to see you guys in Houston!

Not really. I've seen a couple robots with arms that weep forward to line the boxes up with the stacker mechanisms.

the things on the arms kinda look like innertubes, like inside a bicycle tire.
