Smart Phone App

Hello, my name is Olivia Brandt and I am a member of team 696. I am wanting to create a smart phone app that is a reference guide for FIRST teams. The app would have an explanation of common FIRST parts along with pictures of the part, the common uses of the part, and how the part works. This app would be primarily be used by new members who need some help understanding the different pieces of the a typical FIRST robot. Does this sound like a smart phone app that would be useful for FIRST teams? Would enough people be interested in an app like this that it would be worth pursuing? Please comment below and tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions on how I could improve upon my idea.

Re: Smart Phone App

What if you had a interactive electrical board that would explane each pathway. It is a good idea, maybe you could have some basics and a feature that let students take a picture of a part and add there own categorys and descriptions.

Re: Smart Phone App

I'd suggest you take a look at SimPhone by Team 1114.
It likely has all you'd ever want.
