Litter

Is strictly required to put the litter in the recycle container only after it is on the scoring platform? Or I can put the litter inside the recycle container before leave it on top of the grey totes?
And another question, can the robot leave the recycle container near the human player zone, and than the player put the litter directly inside the recycle container?

Re: Litter

I have the same question, the wording seems to say it needs to be placed in a scored recycling container, but the scores are tallied at the end of the match.

There is a large difference between inserting litter into the can with it off of a stack, as that opens a lot of different methods for inserting the litter.

Re: Litter

Scoring is done at the end of the match, so to me it sounds like what was intended was "in a scored recycling container at the end of the match". meaning if at the end of the match it's in an unscored container, it's not processed litter.

However, I'm not GDC by any stretch, so this is a good one for Q/A and/or an update (which I would have expected today...).

Reading 3.1.2 it is very clear that is only scored by placing it in scored recycling containers.

This brings up another problem. Lets say you have one scored tote and scored recycling container and then insert the litter into the container and LET go so everything is now scored. Now your bot picks up every thing and then places that stack on top of another tote that is currently and LETs go. So the question is; is the litter still counted as scored? I say no because the container became un-scored when the bot picked up the stack.

Yet another can of worms for the Q&A and or refs.

I can solve that by simply saying that nothing is considered "scored" until the end of the match.

Therefore, by your thought process you would not be able to score litter ever.

This is not the case. Litter can go in recycle containers whenever they want in the match, BUT do not count as 6 points unless the are in a Scored Recycling Container.

Remember these are counted ONLY at the end of the match. So if at the end of the match the container and noodle are on a tote on the scoring platform then they count. If the container is NOT scored at the end of the match the the litter is consider UNPROCESSED.

Biggest part is to remember things are only scored at the end of the match

This answer is correct. You can put litter in a recycling container whenever you want.

Sorry to correct you. However, to be absolutely fully correct in that thinking, you would also need to ammend all of your above statements throughout, to include "except coopertition set & stack points", which are counted scored as & when they are completed, & after no robot contact of 3 seconds. Coop Sets, may be advanced to stacks any time during the Teleop period.
______________
From THE GAME 3.1.2.2: (Partial & pasted from after Figure 3-2: COOPERTITION STACKS)

Unlike other points, which are awarded at either the end of the AUTO or TELEOP, points for a COOPERTITION SET or
COOPERTITION STACK are awarded instantly upon successful completion. If points are awarded for a COOPERTITION SET and a
COOPERTITION STACK is formed at a later time in the MATCH, the COOPERTITION SET will be upgraded and instead awarded
points for a COOPERTITION STACK. The PLAYER STATION LED strings will indicate to the DRIVE TEAMS when credit has been
awarded for a COOPERTITION SET or COOPERTITION STACK as described in Section 2.2.1: PLAYER STATIONS.
During TELEOP, Yellow TOTES can only score as part of a COOPERTITION SET or a COOPERTITION STACK.
“Support”, for COOPERTITION, AUTO, and TELEOP, is transitive through other TOTES. For example, a Yellow TOTE is “fully supported by the STEP” if
it is resting on top of another Yellow TOTE that is in turn resting directly on the STEP (and thus both Yellow TOTES are “fully supported” by the STEP).
Figure 3-2: COOPERTITION STACKS
ALLIANCES can earn points for either a COOPERTITION STACK or a COOPERTITION SET in a MATCH, but not both.
_______________

I just didn't want some students and others who have not completely read or fully yet understand the rules of The "Recycle Rush" Game to get the wrong idea(s) based on your statements above is all. As they relate to "Litter" they are, or seem correct, but not overall complete scoring rules.
