Alternative to AM 151T belt?

So the square chassis requires a 151T belt that wasn't included in the kit. We didn't pay attention and didn't realize this until we already cut the metal, so we are stuck.

Any alternatives we can use? They are out of stock at Andymark.

I think you'll have luck if you search for the 755-5M-15 part number.

Assuming you are looking for a single sided, 151T 15mm wide 5mm pitch HTD belt:

Part no. A 6R25M151150 at SDP-SI.

Re: Alternative to AM 151T belt?

it would cost another $100, but another alternative is buying new metal. Might even be a team that is not using it, that might give you theirs?

SDP/SI shows a ~$19 price...four belts is cheaper than new inner and outer plates. That supplier has some fast service too.

Re: Alternative to AM 151T belt?

Does anyone know if Gates is donating belts to teams this year? I know in the past it was done through B&B Manufacturing, but I don't see that this year. Therefore, I am assuming that this not an option to teams.

That said, you can look into belt distributors/retailers and order through any of them.

B&B Manufacturing has them (link), but rather pricey. Try giving them a call, I believe they have given us a quantity discount in the past for ordering only a few (not meeting quantity requirement).

Do you still have the belts? We need 4 for our chassis. We would really appreciate your gracious professionalism.

Re: Alternative to AM 151T belt?

Just you just search for "755-5M-15" which is the belt size there's several manufacturers that sell a correct sized belt. We intend to purchase our 160T belt else where for 6" wheels.

Here's one on Amazon for example.

Re: Alternative to AM 151T belt?

Buy the 160 tooth belts (am-2266) and use the hole that was intended for 6in wheels, with 4in wheels.

You will need to file/cutout a some material on the bottom part of the C to make it fit.
