Any chance you would be willing to share the info on this? We are planning on using the new VexPro Single Reduction Clamping Gearbox (P/N: 217-4156) and we were looking for a way to use an encoder with it.

No. It does not modify anything about the motor, you're just ataching something to it like you would any gearbox.
