Can't Change Settings on DLINK Router

Hello,

So tonight while working on the roboRIO (We have everything set up image and firmware and all). Anyways I changed a setting on it that fell under LAN and changed it from Static to DHCP address. So after I did that, we aren't able to ping the rotary using 10.12.25.1, which produced no response, then I tried getting into setting page through the browser change the setting back, but it would let us go to the page as it didn't exist. Now in saying all of this, we are still able to deploy and run code to the roboRIO just fine. My Mac computer and the team's Windows computer could connect just fine and deploy code to the roboRIO (although one kid on our team had oldish laptop that was runningUbuntu Linux that could not connect to the network at all after I changed that setting). But the problem is trying to access the router and pinging the router. BUT I can still ping the robbery just fine.

Anyways, thanks for any help that you can provide.

John

Re: Can't Change Settings on DLINK Router

If you had to you could use the reset button on the back of the router and use the factory default.
Make sure the DLink is powered up before pushing and holding the button with a paper clip for a count of 10.

P.S.
You may have forced the DLink to receive a new IP address from another nearby router.

Re: Can't Change Settings on DLINK Router

Two options:

1. Reset the D-Link and reprogram.
2. Set the IP of your computer to 192.168.0.51 and access the D-Link via 192.168.0.50. It should still respond on this default address even though it also has some other IP.
