Ekocycle 3D Printer

My FTC team finally got there Ekocycle 3D printer a few days ago and I finally got around to testing it before I let the students go wild with it. I am using Auto CAD Inventor 2014. I made a simple test cube, the dimensions being 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.5". I save the assembly file then I converted it to a .stl file so that I could upload it to the Cubify program and transfer it to the Ekocycle printer. When I went to print the test cube it asked me if the file was saved in inches or millimeters. I chose inches and noticed that it said the dimensions of my cube was 1.34" x 1.34" x 1.34". I printed the file thinking it was an error never the less the piece came out at the wrong size. I went back and check the measurements in the .slt file and the cube was 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.5". Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?
