Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
Er, are you sure that the problem isn't the snowblower motor then?

Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
We have tried sending 12, 7.5 and 5V all directly to the motor and it works fine.

Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
Have you put a meter on the controller motor terminals before or while the snowblower motor is connected?

Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
Yes we have put meters on the controllers and are getting the same output before and after. We were thinking it was in the code, but nothing changes in the code from the cim to the snow blower motor? Has anyone actually gotten it to work? All i have found online is many complaints about the motor.

Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
For those folks wondering about Talon SRX and the snow blower motor, we hooked a SB motor up to a Talon SRX last night. We were using CAN bus control but in %voltage mode. The code was in C++. We had Anderson power poles on all of the current carrying connections. When using the Talon SRX demo code, everything worked like a champ. Both forward and backwards through the Talon SRX with no perceivable lag, stutter or any other noticable issues. The Talon was at CAN ID 2, and the PDP was at ID 0. The RoboRIO was running V23 with the F01 firmware.
