Mohawk V2.0

So i am excited to announce that my mohawk had made its return for the second year. Last year it only attended the Sweet Repeat and IRI competitions with me, however last night my friend robyn cut it for me so that after nearly 6 months of being gone (due to senior pictures and constant nagging of grandparents) IT HAS RETURNED!

So i know that people on my team like to dye hair and do crazy styles (i'm already scheduled to be giving atleast 1 person a semi mohawk before we hit the competition on thursday) but do any of you guys do anything like this?

I'm not talking temporary hair dye from a spray can i'm talking dedicated permanent hair modifications...

Can anyone relate to my need to modify my hair to show my true first spirit?!?!?!

one year we shaved a kids head, and then put TEAM 25 on the side of his head in marker

Last year, moments before elimination matches on Einstein in Orlando, I had the bright idea to spike up my hair with glue.

Needless to say, it didn't pan out, and they all fell, and so I just looked dumb running around hugging Dean and Woodie with glue dripping from my head. I will _never_ do that again.

p.s.- Looking forward to seeing the mohawk in Chicago. I'm going to visit Chris, so make sure you say hi.

glue works great for putting up your hair...but its best to help it dry using a blow dryer or other heat generating device....
I have found that elmers school glue (the blue gel stuff) works the best. I hate using bee's wax cuz its a pain to get out and it cant really cut it when you have your hair as long as mine...

But if you really wanna go all out with spikes u can use plain unflavored geletain, just mix it super thick and cook it like u would normaly, alow it to cool a little and apply it to your hair. It has amazing properties that allow it to hold your hair up while still having flex, and if it gets wait it will hold its shape.
I used it at ozzfest last year because they were predicting rain and it stayed up through a torential down poor, then dried in the sun and was stiffer then when it started. PRETTY SWEET!
Except the smell is somewhat horrendous, but thats the price to pay for beauty!

If i'm not around when u visit chris look for me, my mohawk should be green in chicago if all goes as planned.

Blonde for cleveland.
Green For Chicago.
Black and Gold for Nats!

WOOHOO!

lets see, molli, whoever you are, you should spike your hair just for the fact thats its so rad to do.
my hair is perminatli purple, none of that spray junk for me.
its not in a mohawk though, its shaved in the back and slopes down to create long side-bangs so to say, its pretti awesome. ill proballi have it spiked for regionals and houston... yes sir..
uh, if i was smart enough to figure out how to put a picture under my name i would show you, but until one of my computer saavy teammates unlightens me, you will just have to wait...
laters

it's great. last year at regionals I got my hair sprayed orange (sorry. I've never put long lasting chemicals in my hair ever ever ever ever. ...though I would like to someday dye it cotton candy pink or blue) and the white hairband that was in my hair got sprayed. it still has an orange glow to it...I actually had lost it for a while and then found it a few days ago and recognized it automatically 'cuz of the orange glow. ah those sweet memories of Florida. mmmm...can't wait for new Houston memories!
