roboRio java installation error.

So we're just finishing up loading our basic drive program. All that's left is using the roboRio Java installer to load up java ARM on the roboRio. Everytime we've tried this, the installer downloads a JRE and then says "An unknown error occurred when downloading the JRE, and the JRE us corrupt. To redownload, hit back, and sign in again."

Thanks for any help!

Re: roboRio java installation error.

Please update your eclipse plugins as described in the 1/23 team update. There's a new version of the installer to make sure the correct version is installed after Oracle did an update last week.

Re: roboRio java installation error.

The instructions were changed. It seems that Oracle updated the version of java and you need to download the older one. Basically, you will start the download (to setup the cookies and login) then use the link on that page to download the correct version. The installer is then told to use the version you downloaded instead of downloading again.

[edit: looks like I need to download some other updates as well. What I wrote also works as that is what I did yesterday and it worked well.]
