Creo sheetmetal cutout help

so my team is getting a sheetmetal drivetrain done for the first time ever and we want to have our team number cut out in the side. Our team number is 930. So we need to support the center of the 9 and 0. I have tried many thing and just to get the supports in there and we sent it to our sheetmetal cutting source and the way I did it requires a spline and they cant do that there.

What I did was cut it out in an extrude of the numbers from the wall and then created a planar to sit inside of the gap and apparently that didnt work. Also couldnt figure out how to just not cutout the supports in the extrude and count do an extrude in the gap.

Ask for more details if you need it

Thank you so much for any help

Re: Creo sheetmetal cutout help

If you want to work with Creo text, create a sketch with the text first. Then you can create a second sketch and use the Project, Loop option to convert the text into sketch entities. Now you can draw in the supports where ever you need them and trim everything up nicely. Finish it off with an extruded cut and you're in business.

The nice thing about text is it is tessellated and not splines, so you're vendor should be able to laser cut them without any issues.
