Ethernet VS USB

Hello delphi!

We were wondering, which will produce less latency: Using a USB camera or an Ethernet one?

We are wondering if we should invest into buying a USB camera or not.

Thank you very much for your time

Re: Ethernet VS USB

For display on the Dashboard, the Ethernet camera is quicker, because the USB video stream takes extra time to be received and forwarded inside the roboRIO.

For processing on the roboRIO, then the USB camera is just as quick on the roboRIO.
