We had some of our students attach carpet to a piece of plywood, place the totes on there and tilt the plywood until they broke static friction. For the totes its about a 0.5 coefficient. Try it for the bin, its a neat way for students to apply what they learned in physics class. They were using this info to figure out how much force we needed to apply to our intake to grip the totes.

You may have to put some weight in the bottom of the RCs to get this to work - if the COF and COG are both high enough (as I suspect they are), the RC will fall over before it slides.
