Unable to connect to Dlink

I'm unable to connect to the D-Link router on the robot. I've tried both through wifi and ethernet to connect to the router. The router is properly imaged and my ip address is setup at 10.41.59.9 This was automatically setup when I opened the FRC driver station. I can't connect directly to the RoboRio either through ethernet. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Only one computer connects to the robot right now.
Thanks

Re: Unable to connect to Dlink

Well, 10.41.59.9 is actually an incorrect IP address for a properly setup DLink and a laptop set to DHCP. Not that the number is intrinsically wrong, it's just not a number that should ever be assigned.

If the Driver Station did actually set that IP address, then the Driver Station is from last year and won't talk to the roboRIO. The 2015 DS doesn't change the laptop IP address off of DHCP any longer.

Perhaps reviewing the RoboRIO Networking will help.

Re: Unable to connect to Dlink

Mark beat me to it, but the Driver Station works on DHCP this year. You shoud set your IP address to obtain automatically. Turn your firewall off or ensure there is an exception for mDNS (See the RoboRIO Networking section of the Getting Started Guide that Mark linked to above). Use Command Prompt and ensure you can ping "roboRIO-4159.local", if not, you may be having a DNS issue.

You can also try connecting to the RoboRIO via USB and navigating to the web interface at 172.22.11.2. Ensure the RIO received a DHCP address from the DHCP range of the radio. If not, make sure you have programmed the D-Link with the 2015 version of the bridge programming utility.
