Go to Post I've always responded to the cries of, "robot!" with, "person!" I always get startled looks. It's fun. - Rich Kressly [more]

Scouticus - A .NET Scouting Client

Scouticus
From Invictus 3593, an open-source .NET scouting client

Scouticus is a smart scouting client, built in Visual Studio 2012 and written in C#. Using the Blue Alliance API, Scouticus has the ability to build a database containing every team at every competition, making it versatile and applicable at any competition.

Scouticus also is fully customizable for whatever attributes your team wants to scout. The default attributes were decided by us, as a team, here at Invictus 3593. The "Project Folder" download link at the end of this post is the full project, compatible with Visual Studio 2012 or later. The program script itself contains commented instructions to make any changes to the scouting attributes simple and easy, though it may take some time to completely change many attributes. Look for the "scouting saving and loading" section of the program and good luck!

A second folder, called "Scouticus Release" also has a link at the bottom of this post. If you do not wish to change any attributes and like Scouticus as it is, this is your download. This folder contains the program and any dependencies it needs to run smoothly, as well as a README with instructions for use of the program. It is imperative that you do NOT remove the Scouticus application from the release folder, but obviously you are free to move the folder wherever you'd like.

If you experience problems/crashes with Scouticus or have questions on the overall framework of the code, leave a comment here on this thread and we will do our best to answer any questions and/or hotfix bugs in the program.

Have a great rest-of-the build season and we'll see you at the competitions!
