Re: Team 3512 Sneak Peek
Looks speedy! If you guys have a second robot, some good programming could turn it into a real demon.

Only built the one bot unfortunately! But we have another week of software to test with lots of encoders and limit switches to implement so hopefully it'll be much faster and smoother by stop build day. |

Re: Team 3512 Sneak Peek
Very fast elevator! I noticed the motor back-drives. Does your team have a solution for it?

Re: Team 3512 Sneak Peek
What motors/gearbox are you using to drive the lift?

Also, it doesn't drop that dramatically under normal conditions, but in the video, the programming team disabled the robot a second after it starts lifting which is why it drops suddenly. |

Re: Team 3512 Sneak Peek
We are running an AndyMark Super Shifter 30.1:1 (not utilizing the high gear) with 2 CIM motors. On the output shaft of the gear box is a 48 tooth sprocket which is connected by #35 chain to a 26 tooth sprocket at the top of lift.
