Parsing usfirst Match Data
Hey all... Just up at this ungodly hour of 2:01 AM (
![]() - 201 = My team number) making a nice little script to parse match data from usfirst.orgAttached it is (zipped because I can't attach a php file duhhh...) You're going to need a web server that has php to be able to run this script. Also, I have no idea of how they're going to handle the finals, so the odds are i'm going to need to change this tommorrow when i see the formatting for the finals. Anywho, here it is. When you call the script, you'll need to include the url that the data is on. Ex: http://127.0.0.1/matches.php?url=URL...RST_MATCH_DATA a valid url to go to would be: http://www2.usfirst.org/2003comp/eve.../matchsum.html Anyways, I'll just echo the results to your browser. However, i made a comment on the line in which you would add an sql statement to insert into a db. Also, if a match has not yet been played, it won't be displayed/outputted. Once again, I'm guessing i'll need to change it after they post the finals, but here it is for now. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Once the first set of regionals have all their data on the web, i'll post csv files of the match results. They all will also be on http://fbi.feds201.com Jack PS: Thanks to Brandon for his help Last edited by Jack : 08-03-2003 at 02:06. |
