Greg: How do you tell if the ini file is stale? We have imaged multiple Classmates, installed the update and started the driver station/dashboard. "MOST" displayed the blown up dashboard described earlier. "Some" come out OK. A couple do not link the dashboard to the Driver Station at startup. This is true in either the Driver or the Developer account.
We have updated the video driver on nearly every one to get the higher resolution. We did not keep track as to whether it was done before or after the initial startup of the Driver Station. Either way it leaves us with a very non-desirable screen.
Is there anything else you can suggest?
