Exclamation Dashboard is blank

This is what our dashboard looks like.

We can sort of fix the issue by switching the dashboard to java or any other setting and then back to default but it goes back to being blank when we enable. We think this problem is related to us having trouble putting values on the dashboard and using the camera because we got them to work once....just once and we are not sure what broke them.

Ours looks the same in 'Driver,' but looks right in 'Developer.'

Re: Dashboard is blank

What happens when you click on the Window toggle in the DS? If this controls it, there may be something in the ini file that is stale? Can you tell me if this was used last year? Was the PC imaged, or were new programs simply installed over the old ones?

Re: Dashboard is blank

When we use developer user the dashboard seems to work normally again but why does it do this? We did image the classmate this year and we re-installed the dashboard just moments ago. On an unrelated note our camera still isn't working though we are using the exact same settings and code as when it was working last week.

When I clock the window toggle it "breaks" just as if I enabled it.

Re: Dashboard is blank

Is this the default dashboard, or a customized one?

Re: Dashboard is blank

We had a similar issue. Set the task bar to auto hide. There is not enough room on the classmate screen for the dashboard, driver station and task bar.

Re: Dashboard is blank

When I start the Driver Station it always sets the Dashboard to Labview. I set it to Java and my dashboard works fine. I exit the Driver Station program and start it again and my Dashboard selection returns to Labview. Is there an .ini setting somewhere or is it a Dirver Station bug?

Yes, there's an .ini, and yes, it's a bug.

Does https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s...anual-id=24192 give you what you want?

Greg: How do you tell if the ini file is stale? We have imaged multiple Classmates, installed the update and started the driver station/dashboard. "MOST" displayed the blown up dashboard described earlier. "Some" come out OK. A couple do not link the dashboard to the Driver Station at startup. This is true in either the Driver or the Developer account.
We have updated the video driver on nearly every one to get the higher resolution. We did not keep track as to whether it was done before or after the initial startup of the Driver Station. Either way it leaves us with a very non-desirable screen.
Is there anything else you can suggest?

All the classmates that we have used also show this same error from the original picture posted by Cobra Commander.

We have tried both a custom built LabVIEW dashboard (running from .exe) as well as the default one.

The only difference between the two is on the custom dashboard I can see the one extra control that we placed on the front panel. Is there a bug report filed for this or anyone looking into it?
