Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
thank you everyone for all these comments!
espacially for the ones putting us on the same league as the RoboRanglers or giving us the championship before the first competition even started. we never thaught our robot will get so much hype, and i hope it will satisfy all of you. we'll meet the israeli teams at the Israel regional. if we win there you all could see our robot in st. louis |

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
I really love this robot. I've always wanted to see a conveyor belt strategy pulled off since I started watching FIRST events (2010).
I would love to see this against 148, only these teams, just 1v1. Last edited by Anthony Galea : 18-02-2015 at 17:35. Reason: Added 1v1 aspect. |

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
Noooo! There are going to be 4 more very lucky bots on that field every time they go out I hope.
Now, we are only missing an auto crane bot! |

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
Fantastic work. This is an amazing strategy- and very well executed.
Two questions- can the robot push more than two stacks at once or was that just not shown because of lack of totes? And second- just wondering how that gets folded into transport configuration. Awesome design overall, and good luck this season! |

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
I would also like to know how any subsequent stacks are put on the platform. It seems like a capped six stack would be knocked over very easily if you tried to push a second stack into it.

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
Since the whole (second) stack would be be ejected by force on the bottom tote, I would think that said tote would be the primary medium for force to be applied to the first stack. Not the only application point of force, but the upper totes will tend to just bump against each other. If you carefully push a capped 6 stack from just the bottom, it should move safely, considering the low coefficient of friction of the scoring platform

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
Great name, great concept, great execution. I'm curious to see how the transport configuration works - that's got to be fun.
Good luck this season! |

This is terrific. We brainstormed this idea, but decided to play the game a different way. I love your implementation. Out of curiosity, how many stacks can you build at maximum throughput?

Re: Stretchy and Fetchy-1657 robot reveal
3 stacks of 6 totes, all of them with containers. We won't go for pool noodles because of the time
